André Assous

André Assous is a designer, artist, civil engineer, and athlete who arrived in America as a European immigrant over 40 years ago. He used his technical skills and his artistic abilities to create the André Assous designer shoe brand in the 1970s when he released his famous jute wrapped espadrilles. This design transformed the classic espadrille into an iconic fashion trend.

Each shoe is hand crafted with expert, Spanish craftsmanship. The footbed is designed to be ultra-comfortable with a leather cover footbed and support that molds to your foot for a custom fit. Most designs in the André Assous collection use goat leather, which is softer than regular leather and on the footbed, you’ll find “Handsewn in Spain” stamped into the shoe.

André Assous designer espadrilles are a great staple item every woman should have in their wardrobe. An André Assous espadrille is unlike any other, spanning many styles from thong sandals to tennis shoes. For a day of shopping with friends and walking the boardwalk, you can find great designer wedge sandals and for a casual date night, beautiful slip-one sandals with sophisticated designs.
