This year has been a stand-out year for the fashion industry. We’ve seen a resurgence of some old-fashion trends and have seen new style options emerge. Women’s shoe designers have gone above and beyond this year to incorporate these trends and make them unique with each design. The Shoe Spa has highlighted three of our favorite women’s shoe trends we’ve seen in 2015.

Vibrant colors and prints

This year has been all about finding ways to stand-out no matter where you are or what you are doing. Bright colors and prints were seen on high heels, sneakers, and loafers throughout the year as the perfect way to turn a simple outfit into an outfit to remember. Floral designs and reptile prints were especially popular among shoe designers and The Shoe Spa can’t seem to keep these fashion-forward comfort shoes on the shelves!

shoe trendsThe BeautiFeel Denny sneaker is one of The Shoe Spa’s favorite examples of the popular floral print design. The sneaker, also especially popular this year, is made of soft, patent leather with a leather-lined interior as an additional comfort feature. Colored laces compliment the colors of the floral design to really make these designer shoes stand-out.

women's shoe trendsIf you prefer a high heel to a sneaker, the Sergio Tomani Violeta in a bright red is sure to bring some color to any outfit. These comfortable high heels are great for a night out dancing, a dinner party, or a date night. The cushioning in the footbed gives you support to prevent aches and pains and the elastic inset in the cross strap gives you the perfect, snug fit. You’ll surely stand out no matter where you are with these fiery red sandals.

Metallic influences

The metal-look has been very noticeable in 2015. Shine in silver, gold, pewter, and copper were big across women’s fashion and shoe designers were sure to notice. From high heels to sandals, metallic materials shined through this year as one of the most popular trends to hit the runway and the streets.

women's shoe trendsThe Naot Begonia sandal was one of The Shoe Spa’s favorite additions to our store. The straps are made of soft leather with three different metals to give them enough shine to elevate your wardrobe and keep you on trend. The buckle feature on each strap brings another metal element and an industrial design. These are great to pack in your suitcase for vacations to the beach or on a cruise!

women's shoe trendsIf you’re in need of a shoe that’s both versatile and on-trend, the Abigail pump by Sacha London is a must-have in your wardrobe. The exterior is made of a grey suede and embossed to appear metallic. These are great to pair with a solid color dress for a bit of shine or a pair of jeans with a metallic top! In addition to the metallic look, the Abigail pumps feature extra cushioning and support in the footbed to prevent aches and pains from long wear.

Masculine/Feminine wear

The more masculine feminine look has been going in and out of style over the past several years. This year, shoe designers jumped aboard the men’s-wear-for-women train and created some amazing shoes to really put an exclamation mark on the look. Popular styles that we’ve seen this category is the resurgence of the women’s loafer and a unique take on business-casual lace-up shoes, like the oxford.

women's shoe trendsThe BeautiFeel Broadway lace-up is the perfect balance between men’s wear and a more feminine design. The grey, patent leather echoes the metallic trend and the additional snake skin design on the toe cap really creates a dramatic look. The cushioning and support in the footbed gives you the ability to go about your busy day-to-day schedule without stopping because of achy feet.

women's shoe trendsThe Robert Zur Tango women’s loafer is an edgy design that really compliments the man’s wear look. The designer loafer is made with the highest quality of glove leather and accented with metallic studs. The flexibility in the sole, along with the rubber heel, provides protection against harsh wear and tear and the interior is lined with leather for maximum comfort. It’s a simple, but very fashion-forward, design that both compliments your wardrobe while bringing your style to the next level.
